Kurtulus Izzetoglu
Kurtulus Izzetoglu is an Associate Research Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Drexel University. His research and teaching interests are in human performance, learning, training, sensor development, systems and information processing. Over the last decade, he has focused on development of performance and training assessment biosensors and metrics, and joint human-system performance enhancement in the field settings. He has served as principal or co-investigator in research projects funded by US federal agencies, including DoD, FAA, NIH as well as industry partners. Dr. Izzetoglu has been institutional principal investigator and the lead for Drexel’s efforts for the FAA Center of Excellence (COE) for Technical Training and Human Performance (TTHP), and for the COE for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS - ASSURE). Dr. Izzetoglu serves on numerous boards and program committees, including International Conference on Augmented Cognition / International Conference on Human – Computer Interaction; the International Conference for Research in in Air Transportation; and the International Symposium on Aviation Psychology. In 2018, he organized and chaired the annual meeting of the Center of Excellence for Technical Training & Human Performance.
